Mandji Silicon Hub Launches Tech Academy in Q1 2027
Training initiative to prepare Gabonese engineers for the national hovercraft fleet.
Since its inception, the Ogoowair initiative has focused on building an integrated network connecting Gabon’s key inland waterways, powered by eco-efficient hovercraft technology and supported by a strong public-private partnership (PPP) framework.
The Mandji Silicon Hub — Ogoowair’s central industrial and logistical base — completely operational by mid 2027, housing maintenance facilities, training centers, and data systems that will support the national hovercraft fleet.
Over the next three years, the team will focus on:
- Completing fleet construction and testing
- Developing navigation and digital management systems
- Expanding crew training programs for Gabonese engineers and pilots
- Establishing route infrastructure across key rivers and lakes
As 2027 approaches, Ogoowair aims to deliver a fully functional, data-driven transport ecosystem that will improve mobility, trade, and connectivity for communities across Gabon.
“Every step we take brings Gabon closer to a future where our rivers become highways of opportunity,” said a project spokesperson. “The 2027 launch represents not only a technological achievement but a national commitment to sustainable progress.”
Stay tuned for official updates as Ogoowair continues its journey toward a historic transformation of Gabon’s inland transport network.
